StarWin’s satellite IoT terminal line extends into transportation fleets, personal and outdoor tracking, and maritime, aviation and emergency-response deployments, closing blind spots across the roughly 70% to 80% of global land area that sits beyond cellular coverage.

CHENGDU, China – October 19, 2026 – Leading global LEO IoT company, StarWin, a Chengdu-headquartered provider of AI-driven compound solutions spanning satellite communication, navigation, remote sensing and onboard computing across more than 40 product series, today extended its satellite IoT terminal line to transportation fleets, personal and outdoor trackers, and maritime, aviation and emergency-response operators working beyond terrestrial network coverage. Only about 20% to 30% of global land area carries cellular coverage, leaving the majority of long-haul transport routes, remote worksites and outdoor activity areas without a terrestrial network to fall back on.

The terminals involved, the Tianqi 08, Tianqi10 and SW TQ-03, are already part of StarWin’s satellite IoT terminal line, now applied to two segments beyond their original base. The Tianqi 08 is a compact, low-power satellite IoT endpoint built around a dedicated transceiver and dual-mode BeiDou/GPS positioning in an IP65 enclosure; the Tianqi10 adds an integrated antenna and an RS-485 interface in an IP67 housing for installation without external antenna hardware; and the SW TQ-03 is a highly integrated, IP68-rated vehicle-mounted terminal with a built-in antenna, purpose-built for construction vehicles, mining trucks and heavy-duty trucks. For transportation operators, satellite units mounted on trucks, construction machinery and freight containers maintain location, status and condition tracking for fleets and cargo once they move beyond cellular range, feeding a platform that reports position, refrigeration status and dispatch data wherever the terrestrial network does not reach. For personal and outdoor use, a low-power handheld terminal serves self-driving and RV travelers, outdoor-adventure groups and endurance-sports participants with two-way short messaging and SOS reporting beyond terrestrial coverage, while vehicle-mounted units and smart boundary markers carry the same distress-call and tracking function for field teams working in remote terrain.

“Fleets, outdoor travelers and field teams working beyond cellular range have had to accept gaps in tracking and communication as a cost of operating remotely,” said James Li, Board Chairman of StarWin. “Routing location, condition and distress data through a satellite link that holds a pass every five minutes closes that gap, which matters most in the minutes after a vehicle goes off-route, a shipment needs a status check, or a traveler has to raise an SOS beyond terrestrial coverage.”

The satellite constellation behind these terminals completes a pass roughly every five minutes, carrying short data messages of 120 bytes under frequency approvals from the National Radio Regulatory Commission and the ITU. StarWin backs the terminal line with 7×24 satellite communication assurance, targeting a data transmission success rate of 97% or higher, alongside free technical training and localized after-sales spare parts scaled to purchase volume.

Diverse Applications

Beyond transportation and personal tracking, StarWin’s broadband line serves maritime, aviation and emergency-response segments as well as users who need a bigger data pipe than the short-message IoT terminals provide. The Flat Panel Terminal Series – the FL60 and FL30 Auto Portable Terminals, Satpad, and the electronically steered phased array Ka/Ku Full Dimensional ESA Terminal and Mini Ka/Ku ESA30 Terminal – covers personal, outdoor and vehicle-mounted use, while the Parabolic Antenna Series – Earth Station, Flyaway, Driveaway, Airborne and Maritime Antennas – extends StarWin’s hybrid ESA and VSAT-class coverage from fixed installations to mobile, aviation and maritime deployments. A satcom quadruped robot adds a mobile option for disaster relief, rounding out a product range built to keep connectivity available regardless of terrain.

About StarWin

StarWin is a Chengdu-headquartered provider of AI-driven compound solutions across communication, navigation, remote sensing and computing, delivering LEO IoT and SATCOM for oil & gas, grid, transportation and defense operators as integrated systems rather than individual components. StarWin distributes a LEO satellite IoT constellation and separately carries a broadband line spanning its Flat Panel Terminal Series (FL60, FL30, Satpad, Ka/Ku Full Dimensional ESA, Mini Ka/Ku ESA30) and Parabolic Antenna Series (Earth Station, Flyaway, Driveaway, Airborne, Maritime). StarWin’s terminals and antennas have been qualified by more than 14 satellite operators worldwide and carry FCC, CE, RCM, ANATEL and Japan approvals.
