Mercenary Magnetics Launches ADM Master QC, a $79 Pre-Delivery Checker for Immersive Audio Masters

New macOS app from engineer Chris Bell checks ADM BWF masters against published major-label delivery specifications in seconds before the file leaves the studio

WIMBERLEY, TX, UNITED STATES, October 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Mercenary Magnetics today released ADM Master QC, a macOS application that checks immersive audio ADM BWF masters against published major-label delivery specifications before delivery. Engineers drop a master onto the app and receive a full report in seconds, with each measured value shown next to the published limit.

Rejected immersive deliveries rarely come back the day they are sent. They tend to return a week or more later, often without a clear reason, after the session has been closed and the client has moved on. Most of the problems that cause a rejection can be measured before the file ships. They simply cannot be heard.

ADM Master QC reads the master and reports on:

– Direct Render: whether the master is set to Direct Render, one of the most common reasons an immersive delivery is bounced
– Integrated loudness (LKFS) and true peak (dBTP) against delivery limits
– LFE content, with a spectrum plot drawn against the specification window
– Channel, bed and object configuration, including empty objects
– Sample rate, bit depth and file structure
– Metadata completeness

Where a value cannot be determined from the ADM file itself, the report says so rather than passing it quietly. When a check fails, the report states the fix, for example that LFE sits 0.3 dB above the specification and should be trimmed and re-rendered. Reports cover a single master or a full album, and can be saved and attached to a delivery email.

The app reads the file and never modifies, re-renders or re-encodes it. It runs entirely offline, with no upload and no licence server. ADM Master QC is a pre-delivery reference, not a certification; acceptance remains the label’s decision.

“I built this to get immersive mixes across the finish line. When you deliver to labels, a file can fail QC for reasons you will never hear in the room, and you find out weeks later. I wanted to know before the file left my studio, so I am not reopening a session months later just to hit Direct Render and re-export. It does not replace the label’s QC. It means you pass it the first time,” said Chris Bell, founder of Mercenary Magnetics.
